The joint Hampton and LEH musical, Anything Goes, was a great success.
Set on the cruise liner the SS American, bound from New York to London, Anything Goes featured madcap antics, hilarious love triangles and crooked dealings.
The production was superbly acted by the cast, and the challenging score performed with aplomb by musicians from both schools.
Jonny Fryer donned his dancing shoes to take on the lead role of Billy Crocker, a stowaway, keen to avoid his wealthy New York boss, Elisha J Whitney, played with gusto by Will Priddis. Fellow Sixth Former Dylan Evans-Hutchinson’s portrayal of the English aristocrat, Lord Evelyn Oakleigh, was an object lesson in comic timing and characterisation.
