Fourth Year, Koby Kalavannan, has won both his age category, and the age category above, at the British Chess Championships for the third year in a row.

The Championships, held in Bournemouth, attract the best young players in the country.

Following his success, Koby represented England at the European Youth Chess Championships and will now compete at the World Youth Chess Championships in 2017 in Montevideo, Uruguay.

Koby is delighted with his current form: “I put a lot of hard work into my game and I am glad to see that it is paying off.”
