U14A football match report against Charterhouse School (by Declan Connolly):

The game started off with some early possession from Hampton and soon Hampton found the net with some link up play between, Alasdair Bolling (3J) and Declan Connolly (3C) who then set up Theo Radicopoulos (3C) for his first goal. The second goal came straight after with Theo Radicopoulos (3C) setting up Declan Connolly (Captain/3C) for Hampton’s second goal. The goals kept on coming with a free kick from Thomas Banks (3H) which Milo Choundry (3B) met with his head at the back post , then Sami Omaar (3F) made an instant impact coming of the bench and scoring 2 goals straight away. Hampton kept on putting pressure on Charterhouse with Theo Radicopoulos (3C) scoring his second goal.Hampton were caught sleeping from a corner when Charterhouse got a goal back to make the score 6-1. Shahryar Rezvani (3F) , Matt Groves (3E) and Nathan Chaplow (3A) were at the centre of the defence Hampton replied straight away with Alasdair Bolling scoring 2 goals within a short space of time. At half time Hampton made some adjustments to the line-up awarding Robbie Cox (3D) and Maxi Grindley (3C) with their patience and hard work in defence by giving them some time to show us what they can do in the final third. Robbie Cox (3D) sure did not disappoint assisting Thomas Banks (3H)to score and even getting a goal himself. However Maxi Grindley wasn’t as lucky and came close to finding the net on several attempts. As the final minutes approached Oli Burke (3D) managed to get himself a goal after he put in a great performance during the game and Milo Choundry (3B) got his second goal shortly after. Well done James Mcmullin for his third match with the A team. Overall it was a great 12-1 win against Charterhouse with one of the best atmospheres on pitch and on the side-line. We made a success of a very wet, rainy day.
