The annual Hampton Tennis Championships were an exhibition of young tennis talent, as 35 Hampton boys battled it out for the junior and senior tennis titles.

In the senior event, Joss Connell edged out Harry Vincent in a tie break, winning 7-4. Meanwhile, Tanmay Thanawalla was held by Rohan Vasudev, until another tie break, where Tanmay won 8-6.

A number of First Year boys performed impressively, including Henri Beauvilain who reached the final rounds, before losing to his Second Year opponent, Rohan.

Head of Tennis, Mr Dan Phillips, was impressed by the quality of tennis on show:

Although the 2016 Tennis season is drawing to its close, the high levels of dynamism and application from the boys showed no signs of waning at this event. The Hampton Tennis squads can look toward 2017 with a lot of confidence.
