Skiers race to be the best in Britain
Three members of the Hampton School Ski Team travelled to the Alps to participate in the 17th annual British Schoolboys Races, this year occurring in Wengen, in the Jungfrau region of Switzerland.
Freddie John (5H), Ethan Scott (3G) and Sam Schomberg (2B) each raced in all three events over the five day trip, the Dual Parallel, the Giant Slalom, and the Slalom.
The event was held on the famous Lauberhorn piste, which, a week before, was used as the World Cup Downhill course and saw international skiers battling it out for the podium positions.
Overall, the results of the team were good. Freddie came in the top 15 in both U16 Giant Slalom and Slalom. Ethan also came in the top 15 in the U14 slalom, while Sam came in the top ten in both U14 events.
It was a strong performance from the boys and they all hope to return to take on the Lauberhorn again next year.
