Industry professionals share their knowledge and expertise

Over 200 pupils from Hampton and The Lady Eleanor Holles School attended the Careers Convention. Held at both school sites the students were able to quiz professionals on a range of career opportunities. Professions ranged from Actuaries to Engineers and Marine Biologists to Barristers.

The purpose of the careers convention is to give the boys and girls, along with their parents, the chance to talk to representatives of industry about entrance qualifications, training, expectations, and prospects, in various fields.

Co-organisor of the event, Ms Alice Goodman, thanked all who gave their time:

It was a very successful evening with a constant flow of people between the two school sites. We are immensely grateful to the industry professionals who gave of their time; many of our advisers were parents or former pupils from the two schools, which allowed the pupils to speak on a more relaxed and informal basis.
