Second Year pupil secures a place in prestigious Orchestra

20160127_140302Second Year flute-player Anthony Wang has earned a place in the Under 13 National Children’s Orchestra. The Under 13 Orchestra is a full symphony orchestra for young musicians which offers its participants a taste of performing in major UK concert venues.

Entry involves an audition process against other budding musicians and being selected is wonderful  recognition of Anthony’s talents as a young flautist.

Anthony will have the opportunity to take part in two nine-day residential courses, one at Easter and one in the summer, both of which end with a public concert. There is also the opportunity to play at the Royal Festival Hall at the Southbank Centre in the Winter.

Anthony recently took part in his first South Easterlies Regional Orchestra rehearsal and is looking forward to playing with the group again soon.
