Over 60 Hamptonians have taken part in their Silver and Gold DofE expeditions this term. Their journeys have taken them from the rugged coastline of Dorset to the stunning peaks of the Lake District.
Facing a mix of sunshine, rain, and even a touch of overnight frost, our young explorers covered an impressive combined distance of 2,807 kilometres. On average, the Silver teams trekked 42 kilometres over three days, while the Gold groups tackled 65 kilometres across four. In addition to hiking, Hamptonians cooked all their own meals and set up camp each night – a remarkable achievement that demanded resilience, teamwork, and plenty of determination. Well done to all our intrepid adventurers!
