Second Years dressed as their favourite literary characters to encourage reading and raise money for Form Charity.

Second Year Hamptonians arrived in a range of colourful costumes based on their favourite book. Literary characters who roamed the Hampton corridors ranged from the super sleuth Sherlock Holmes to the fantastical figure of Willy Wonka, alongside perennial favourites Harry Potter, Arthur Dent and Where’s Wally? The day included creative writing workshops for our budding authors led by young adult dystopian author Sarah Govett, who spoke to pupils about the inspiration behind her novels.

Leander K-B won the prize for best costume, after spending the day as Marvin the Paranoid Android from Douglas Adams science fiction book The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. Over £300 was raised for our 2021-22 Form Charity partners.
