Hampton was delighted to welcome several of the country’s top rugby schools to this year’s Hampton Founders’ Day Sevens tournament.

Now in its 29th year, the competition is one of the earliest fixtures in the schools’ Sevens calendar and consistently provides a valuable early benchmark for teams ahead of the season.

Nine schools took part, and with immaculate pitches and warm conditions, spectators were treated to an excellent display of schoolboy rugby throughout the day.

Hampton’s Sevens squad delivered an impressive performance, securing three wins from their four group matches – including a win against Millfield School, who went on to claim the overall tournament title. Hamptonians finished the day on a high by winning the Plate competition after a strong display against Brighton College.

Congratulations to all who took part – a superb day of skill, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
