An exciting Development

An update from the Hampton School Trust

We are pleased to confirm that with effect from September 2026 Hampton and Hampton Prep will formally become an all-through School, providing an exceptional education for boys aged 7 to 18. All pupils attending Hampton Prep, including those joining from September 2026, will automatically progress to Hampton as their senior school.

This exciting development represents a natural progression for the Hampton School Trust, reflecting our Schools’ shared ethos and values, high academic standards, and longstanding close relationship. Pupils will benefit from a seamless 11+ transition and the academic and all-round excellence of a Hampton education from Year 3 to Upper Sixth (Year 13).

Under our new arrangements, entry to Year 3 at Hampton Prep and subsequently to the First Year (Year 7) at Hampton, will be assessed at 7+ (i.e. in Year 2).

Our Pre-Prep will continue to play an integral role within the Hampton School Trust family of Schools, providing a joyful and nurturing start to our youngest pupils’ education and establishing strong foundations for learning, confidence and academic curiosity.Our Pre-Prep girls will, of course, remain important and valued members of our community before moving on, as they currently do, to a range of leading schools at 7+
