Hampton was delighted to host the annual ISSP Science Day, welcoming enthusiastic Year 9 pupils from four local partner schools for a day of hands-on scientific discovery.

Joining pupils from Hampton High, Hollyfield School, Teddington School and Tolworth Girls’ School, alongside those from Lady Eleanor Holles and Hampton School, the young scientists explored fascinating topics in Biology, Chemistry and Physics, extending their learning beyond the classroom.

Each session was expertly led by Hampton School teachers, who guided the pupils through a lively Chemistry investigation into energy changes during reactions, a Biology experiment examining the effect of pH on digestive enzymes, and a Physics challenge to design and construct hot air balloons to understand the principle of upthrust.

The event was a fantastic celebration of scientific curiosity, leaving pupils inspired to continue exploring the wonders of Biology, Chemistry and Physics in new and exciting ways.
