Hampton was looking its very best as it welcomed hundreds of families to the 2025 Open Morning.
After being greeted by the Headmaster and treated to a beautiful rendition of Somewhere Over the Rainbow from our male-voice choir Voices of Lions, everyone was excited to embark on an exploration of the School and chat to current pupils and members of staff. Youngsters enjoyed discovering what each department had to offer from identifying bones in Biology to the bangs and whizzes of experiments in Chemistry and Biology.
Aspiring musicians learnt about African drumming, while those walking through the Hammond Theatre could stop to watch rehearsals for this year’s production of Les Misérables. Sporting enthusiasts could try their hand at ‘beat the goalie’, rugby target practice, and racing on the rowing ergos – the sports hall showcased table tennis, basketball and badminton. The breadth of opportunities on offer at Hampton was clear to see as children tried their hand at rapid chess, exploration with the Adventure Society, and pottery making in art.
The Hampton bees made an appearance, and treats were on offer in the Dining Hall where you could whip up a healthy fruit smoothie by jumping on the smoothie bike. The Open Morning Marquee was serving pastries, cakes and a pupil-inspired blend of Hampton Tea and to top it all off, there was an ice-cream van with choices for all.
It was fantastic to see so many families at our Open Morning 2025 – we hope everyone enjoyed their introduction to Hampton and came away with a sense of what makes this such a wonderful place to come to School.
