The U15As reached the national Independent Schools’ Football Association Final
Having successfully made their way through six rounds involving 90 schools, Hampton’s Fourth Year squad faced a strong Aldenham School side at the Pirelli Stadium home of Burton Albion Football Club. Over 100 Hampton supporters also travelled to Burton-on-Trent to offer their full-voiced support.
It was a tough encounter with Hampton facing a 3-0 scoreline by the second half but they dug deep and managed to score two goals in quick succession bringing the final tally to 3-2. The season isn’t over yet for the U15As who once again face Aldenham in the ESFA Cup semi-final at the end of March.
Director of Football, Mr David Burke, says the team should be extremely proud of their achievements:
We’re delighted that the hard work the boys have put in over the last two seasons was rewarded with the prize of reaching the ISFA final and playing in a Football League stadium. It was a memorable day playing in front of their families and school mates and they showed exceptional skill and sportsmanship. well done to all!
