Hampton’s Combined Cadet Force (CCF) enjoyed a weekend of competition as they took part in the prestigious 2025 Royal Air Squadron Tournament (RAST).

13 Cadets from the Hampton, LEH and Hampton High CCF took part in RAST held at RAF Halton, and led capably by Cadet Warrant Officer James, a Lower Sixth pupil at Hampton. Competing against 15 other local CCF sections in the London and South East region, our cadets were put through their paces in a series of challenging activities designed to test a wide range of skills.

The cadets were judged on uniform & drill, command tasks, radio & cyber, air rifle marksmanship, first aid, space and aircraft recognition. The RAF Drill Instructor gave positive and constructive feedback on our Drill, and the marksmanship instructor was impressed with our groupings on the air rifle. This was the culmination of weeks of hard work and the cadets performed exceptionally throughout the day, doing themselves and their schools proud.

The Hampton, LEH and Hampton High CCF cadets train together, with additional camps and training opportunities at MoD bases. The CCF is an excellent opportunity for pupils to develop leadership, personal responsibility, and self-discipline, as well as being a lot of fun.
