The annual New Pupils’ Concert showcased the talents of 36 new pupils as they performed an eclectic selection of music to an audience of delighted parents and staff.

Musicians who recently joined the School took to the Hammond Theatre stage to entertain the audience with a carefully selected setlist of both classical and contemporary performances. From Handel to AC/DC and Beethoven to Imagine Dragons, our talented Hamptonians performed on a range of instruments including the clarinet, electric guitar, trumpet, the marimba and the drums.

Music teacher and organiser of the event, Mr Peter Thomson, praised the musicians on their first performance in the Hammond Theatre:

It was so wonderful to see so many of our new pupils sign up to this concert so early in their Hampton journeys.

For some, this was an opportunity to share the many talents and skills they have brought with them from their previous schools, for others, it was a chance to share what they had learnt since signing up to lessons at Hampton in September. I commend all those who had the courage to put themselves forwards and am hugely excited by what they can achieve in music as they continue through School.
