In a first for the School, Hampton’s U13As have reached the semi-final stage in two national schoolboy football competitions.

In the English Schools’ Football Association (ESFA) U13 Schools’ Cup, the young footballers have reached the last four. A total of 630 schools entered the prestigious competition back in September and after eight rounds, which saw the boys travel as far afield as Devon, an away tie against Enfield Grammar School or Howard of Effingham School awaits.

A hard-fought win against Alleyn’s School saw the Hamptonians also progress to the semi-final of the Independent Schools Football Association (ISFA) Cup. The U13A footballers finished a magnificent run in the competition in a tough semi-final match against Dulwich College, played in front of strong support from both parents and pupils.

Director of Football, Mr David Burke, commended the boys on their fantastic season:

We are very proud of the achievement of this year group so early on in their Hampton football journey. Our boys have understood the importance of playing for each other and working hard as a team. Retaining this attitude along with a growth in mindset they should become even stronger as they progress through the years. They have enjoyed a season to be remembered and we thank staff and parents for all their support.
