Sixth Form Hamptonians have excelled in this year’s British Biology Olympiad (BBO), a problem-solving competition which tests pupils on a wide variety of topics relating to the Natural World.

Over 8,000 pupils from schools across the country entered this year’s olympiad, with the top 5% receiving a Gold medal. 60 of Hampton’s Sixth Form Biologists took part in the 2021 BBO and a record number were awarded Gold. Seven Hamptonians achieved this feat including Upper Sixth pupils Jacob O’Loughlin, Nathan Chapplow, Hari Prabhu, Matthew Groves, Joe Watton and Jamie Benson. Particular congratulations go to Abhinand Sundaram for achieving this fantastic result while still in the Lower Sixth.
