Hampton pupils have selected four new charities to support during this academic year: REACT, Dementia UK, Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA) and ActionAid.
Hamptonians will engage in a range of fundraising activities throughout the year, which are either year group events organised by the boys or whole School events organised by the Charity Coordinator. These include: mufti days, the much anticipated book character day, the Sixth Form quiz competition and the fiercely competitive annual lacrosse match against LEH.
Mrs Augusta Samuel, Form Charity Coordinator, highlighted the important work that the charities do:
We hope to imbue in the boys an understanding of the importance of charitable work, and being aware of the lives that are being lived around them. The boys approach each fundraising activity with passion and enthusiasm, the money they raise makes a huge difference, whether that be helping young people escape the cycle of poverty, finding donors for people with blood cancer, or helping children with life-limiting illnesses to make memories that their families can cherish.
