Play & PE
Outdoor play and physical activity help children build teamwork, resilience, and confidence. Our sports provision helps pupils develop independence and teamwork in a fun and structured environment.
Clubs
Pupils in the Pre-Prep enjoy an ever-growing selection of academic clubs, including Chess, History Club and Spanish. Creative activities, such as Arts and Crafts, Pins n’ Needles, Kiddy Cooks, yoga and choir, nurture imagination, creativity and self-expression. Karate and Little Musketeers allow pupils to develop confidence, coordination and new skills in a fun and supportive environment.
Music
Taught by a specialist teacher, children from Kindergarten to Year 2 explore rhythm, percussion, singing and movement, developing their listening skills and musical understanding. Pupils can join the choir and enjoy singing together. From Year 2, children can begin individual instrumental tuition in piano and violin, providing a strong foundation for their musical journey. Pupils are encouraged to share their achievements through informal concerts, where they can perform and celebrate their progress with family and friends.
Drama
Offers children opportunities to perform and collaborate. Pupils take an active role in class assemblies, seasonal celebrations and special school events during the year. Kindergarten children delight audiences with their own Christmas performance, while Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 join together to stage a much-anticipated whole-school production, creating lasting memories and teamwork and communication skills.
Trips
From Kindergarten onwards, our pupils begin by exploring the local area, visiting places such as the local bakery and library before venturing further afield as they grow in confidence and curiosity. Children enjoy a wide variety of enriching experiences, from discovering historical sites such as Windsor Castle to engaging with interactive exhibits at museums and science centres like the Winchester Science Centre, and taking part in hands-on learning at settings such as Bocketts Farm. These carefully planned visits deepen pupils’ understanding, spark curiosity, and help them make meaningful connections between classroom learning and the wider world.
