Senior Leadership Team

Dr Hendry is Deputy Head Academic and leads on all aspects of academic life at Hampton working closely with all Heads of Department and the leadership team at Pre-Prep & Prep.

In her role, leading Admissions at the School, Dr Hendry liaises with members of the Hampton School Trust and LEH.

With a PhD in Zoology and Animal Biology, Dr Hendry is a member of the Biology department and still teaches across all age groups. She is also the owner of Harris, Hampton’s beloved labradoodle.

Ms Message is a longstanding member of the Common Room and acts as deputy to the Headmaster, with wide-ranging responsibility for the day-to-day running of the School. She leads on all matters of staffing – from the recruitment of Hampton’s exceptional teaching and support staff to the wellbeing of all who work at the School.

Beyond her leadership role, Ms Message is a Reporting Inspector for the Independent Schools Inspectorate and enjoys teaching Biology across all age groups.

Deputy Head, Mr Morris, leads on pastoral care at Hampton School and is also the Designated Safeguarding Lead, working closely with Heads of Year and the School Counsellors.

A member of the History department since 2013, he also taught at Magdalen College School, Oxford, as well as at Merchant Taylors’. Mr Morris oversees Hampton’s co-curricular programme, and as a keen cricketer, enjoys training our junior cricket teams and supporting Hampton’s extensive Saturday sport programme.

Mr Nicholson is Deputy Head (Partnerships and Inclusion). He joined Hampton as a RS & Philosophy teacher and has been Head of Department, and Assistant Head.

In his current role, Mr Nicholson oversees Hampton’s wide-ranging programme of partnerships with state-maintained schools and other organisations. Mr Nicholson was instrumental in establishing the highly successful partnership between Hampton, LEH and Feltham Sixth Form College.

Mr Scarratt is Deputy Head (Pupils and Communications) and a member of the Hampton RS & Philosophy department.

Formerly a Teacher of Divinity at Tonbridge School, Mr Scarratt’s role focuses on pastoral education, admissions and marketing, and internal and external communications. He has recently helped introduce a comprehensive PSHE programme across all year groups.

A musician and keen sportsman, Mr Scaratt can regularly be found on the School pitches coaching the U15 rugby squad.

A long-serving member of the Common Room, Miss Holmes joined Hampton over 20 years ago. She is a Designated Safeguarding Officer for Hampton and a Team Inspector for ISI.

A member of the Biology and Chemistry departments, Miss Holmes was joint Head of Sixth Form before becoming Assistant Head (Pastoral) in 2022.

Involved in overseeing Hampton’s co-curricular programme including the Adventure Society and The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award scheme, Miss Holmes is a keen traveller.

Ms Hynes is Assistant Head, spearheading work on learning and teaching across the School and supporting pupils to achieve their academic potential. Having worked in both high-performing state and leading independent schools, she is particularly interested in how pupils learn most effectively and how schools can help every young person flourish.

An English teacher by background, Ms Hynes is passionate about reading, oracy and sharing best practice among teachers.

Mr Wilkinson heads Hampton’s Careers & UCAS team, supporting Hamptonians as they navigate their next steps – advising and guiding on university options and career opportunities. 

A member of the RS & Philosophy department, Mr Wilkinson also curates the Sixth Form Curriculum Enrichment programme, delivered in partnership with LEH. Across 18 sessions over two years, the programme develops the skills, knowledge and confidence pupils need for success at university and in the wider world. 

Mr King has served as Bursar, Company Secretary and Clerk to the Governors at Hampton since 2002. Before joining the School, he had a distinguished career in the British Army as both an Engineer and helicopter pilot.

During his tenure, Mr King has overseen an ambitious programme of capital development that has transformed Hampton’s facilities – from the Hammond Theatre, a professional-grade performing arts venue, to the beloved 3G sports pitches, the Atrium wing, and the Sixth Form and Careers Centre – leaving a lasting legacy for generations of Hamptonians.

Mrs Moria is integral to ensuring the smooth running of the Hampton Trust schools.

With a background in finance, Mrs Moria is involved in the long-term strategic vision for the Trust as well as responsibility for day-to-day operations of all sites, and oversight of departments including Maintenance, Grounds, Catering and Events.

A member of the Pre-Prep & Prep SLT, Mrs Moria has bursarial oversight of the two lower schools.
