Boys in the Fifth and Sixth Form at Hampton can choose golf as a sports option in all three terms. Boys who choose golf will play at Fulwell Golf Club every Wednesday afternoon, where they are also offered reduced junior membership fees. Beginners are welcome; they would need to invest in lessons with the professional at Fulwell before playing on the course. There are also two practice nets at Hampton, where Lower School boys can be introduced to the sport in a lunchtime club.
The School team play regular matches each year against a number of local schools. They compete in the HMC Foursomes Competition and the ISGA Competition. In the summer term, the School hosts an Old Hamptonians match and a Richmond Schools’ tournament at Fulwell Golf Club, which are both good opportunities for younger pupils, or those with higher handicaps, to gain competitive experience.
