Lower Sixth students honed
their linguistic skills on a work
experience trip to Armentières in
Work placements ranged from primary schools
to bakeries and restaurants. Overcoming
first-day nerves, all the boys settled in well
and the local businesses praised their work
ethic and commitment. The Francophiles
returned exhausted, but delighted with the
noticeable improvement in their language skills.
Senior Ski Trip
Hampton boys enjoyed a taste of ‘la dolce
vita’ as they took to the slopes on the Senior
Ski Trip in Gressoney, Italy.
Boys of all abilities made the most of the
stunning conditions as they improved their
skiing, as well as enjoying the Italian cuisine
in the evenings.
By the end of the week, all the boys had
successfully navigated the notoriously
Moos Black Run
Among them were 28 novices, who progressed so well that
they soon graduated from the nursery slopes to venture on to
the blue and red runs, aided by superb weather conditions.
There was plenty of fun après-ski entertainment too, including
sledging, basketball and trampolining.
Junior Ski Trip
A group of 60 skiers headed to Les
Menuires in France for the Junior Ski Trip.
