The Hampton School Bridge Club meets once a week on Monday lunchtime in 3E. It gives boys a chance to learn the game if they are new to it, or practise their skills and advance their knowledge if they are not. They are introduced into how the hands are played, how they can assess the strength of their hand and how the bidding system works. If there is sufficient time and interest we organise the occasional after school duplicate session.
It is quite common for boys to learn the game as part of the skill section of their Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme. It offers them a good opportunity to think logically and solve problems in a setting outside of the classroom, oh and to have some fun too!
