It was a Quizzical night at Hampton

On Saturday 28 November, over 500 members of the Hampton community joined us virtually for the Big Hampton Quiz, in aid of the Fitzwygram Foundation.

Across the globe, from Norway to Nightingale Road, we were joined by parents, alumni, and their friends and family for a night of mental agility and quizzical fun, hosted by the illustrious Quizmaster, Pete Parkin.

Quizzers were not only put to the test with Homework, Odd One Out and Picture Roads, to name but a few, but fully embraced the half-time break scavenger hunt and ‘create-a-Hampton-Lion’ fancy dress challenge.

We were delighted to see that all household members took part in the fancy dress competition, with many dogs and cats fully involved… even if they didn’t want to!

Congratulations to team Densa, The Coolmelaghs and The Turkey Quizzlers, who took 1st, 2nd and 3rd places, respectively.

A special mention goes to The Berthon, Bleach & Russell Services Ltd team who won a prize for the best scavenger hunt photo and The Fulhamers, who won a prize for the best Lion fancy dress photo.

Supported by the Hampton School Parents Association, the Big Hampton Quiz raised over £3,000 for the Fitzwygram Foundation, which has one simple but transformative aim: to increase the number of Free Places available at Hampton School.

Thank you to all those who attended and supported the evening.  We can’t run events like this without the support of our Hampton community, so thank you to all who took part.
