‘Discover the London Stock Exchange’

Book now

Hampton is delighted to welcome Lauren Crawley-Moore as our next Talk! speaker. Lauren will offer a unique introduction to the London Stock Exchange, a critical institution in global finance.

Lauren leads the London Stock Exchange’s Primary Markets activity in London and the South of the UK, covering both the Exchange’s growth market, AIM (the Alternative Investment Market) and the Main Market. Her expertise is invaluable in advising private companies of all sizes who are considering going public, and she plays a pivotal role in guiding businesses through the process of launching an Initial Public Offering, or IPO. This process allows companies to raise capital by selling shares to the public for the first time, opening the doors to new investors and transforming private enterprises into publicly traded ones.

The London Stock Exchange, one of the world’s oldest, has a rich history dating back to the 17th century and the coffee houses of London. For many years, it operated as a physical trading floor where members could buy and sell shares. Today, however, the exchange has evolved to a digital platform where millions of trades occur daily, providing a global stage for the buying and selling of shares, bonds, and other securities.

Not only does the London Stock Exchange allow companies and governments to raise capital, but it also provides a vital infrastructure for investors, from large institutions to individual traders, ensuring that information, pricing, and market news are accessible worldwide.

The talk is free to attend but tickets must be booked here.

Please note, Hamptonians do not need to book tickets.
