Welcome to the inaugural First Year Blog of 2019!

It has been lovely to see the First Year boys back at School this week after a restful break. They seem in good spirits and raring to go for the term ahead. We have been hearing about lots of fun holiday activities, be it travelling, seeing friends and family, or just having the time to sleep a bit more!

The term is already in full swing with lots of co-curricular activities on the go. The activity timetable will be on in full next week and now is the perfect time for First Year boys to be spending time exploring new interests so we would urge them to try some new clubs and to soak up all the opportunities that Hampton has to offer on that front. For those who are interested, cricket nets will be on next week for the U12s. Do see below for the message from Mr Banerjee:

Cricket nets for all First Year cricketers will be on Wednesday 16 January after School from 4.00pm until 6pm in the Sports Hall. All boys wishing to play School Cricket for the A, B, C and D‘s this summer should attend. If you have any problems with this, please see Mr Sims, Mr Green or Mr Hurst.

Fixtures begin this weekend and we wish all the boys playing in fixtures against Dulwich College and Tiffin School the best of luck. The rugby matches against Tiffin School will be something of a local derby, so go for it boys!

Weekly Conundrum

We will continue to do the weekly conundrum this term. Last term, Ronit R (1P) and Ishan P (1L) accrued plenty of merits with their responses and 1W achieved the most merits for their responses overall. Here is this week’s offering:

Let Miss Russell know your responses next week!

Have a great weekend and we’ll look forward to seeing you all for the first full week of term next week.

Miss G. Russell
