England Rugby Star
Fifth Year, Louis Lynagh put on an exceptional performance in England U16s victory against Wales
The talented rugby player is a regular in Hampton’s 1st XV and played a central role in the School’s first-ever Surrey Sevens victory.
After joining Harlequins Academy in the Second Year, Louis was selected to continue through the club’s Elite Player Development Programme at the age of 15. After recently impressing England coaches at the Wellington Academy Festival, Louis was selected to play in the U16 England v Wales International and was also named Vice-Captain of the 23-man squad.
He played impressively during the game, setting up a crucial try and helping England to a 41-22 victory.
Louis is now looking ahead to another successful season for Hampton and Harlequins, with the aim of even more international representation in the future. He said that representing England U16s had been a real honour:
The England selection came as a real shock, but I was delighted and honoured to be chosen.
