The 2016-17 Sevens season is Hampton’s most successful to date with the School winning three major tournaments. Hampton opened their Sevens account by retaining the Founders’ Day Sevens title securing impressive wins over Campion School and St Paul’s Catholic College. In the final, Hampton overcame a 10-7 score deficit against Cranleigh School in dramatic style, scoring two late tries to clinch victory. At the Middlesex Sevens, the team displayed their strength once again beating Henley College in the final to win the trophy. The Hampton Sevens side also brought home the prestigious Surrey Sevens trophy. The competition attracts 40 of the region’s top school sides. Hampton’s attacking brand of rugby helped them defeat St John’s School, before a brace from both Louis Lynagh and George Tsitsis in the final against Beechen Cliff School helped them to their maiden Surrey Sevens triumph.
