Boat Race Victory
Old Hamptonian, Sam Collier, coxed his Oxford University crew to victory in the 163rd annual Oxford v Cambridge Boat Race
It was Sam’s second year coxing the university’s top crew which was defeated by Cambridge in 2016
This year however, Sam steered the Oxford crew to their 80th triumph since the race began. They won by a margin of one and a quarter lengths. Sam said he was thrilled that all the hard work had paid off.
It meant everything! There have been a lot of sacrifices but it was an incredible privilege to have been able to take part and an amazing feeling to cross the line.
