British Schools Tennis Finalists

The Hampton Senior Boys Tennis Team have qualified for the National Finals of the British Schools Tennis Competition after a hard fought victory against Haberdashers’ Aske’s Boy’s School.

The team, comprising Gustav Darlind, James Hughes, Ben Court and Ollie Ross played a mixture of singles and doubles and the match finished 8-4 to Hampton.

All the boys performed excellently, but plaudits must go to James Hughes who won in a tiebreak, having made a remarkable comeback from 2-4 down.

James said he, “Can’t wait to represent Hampton nationally and is delighted that the team’s hard work and dedication have finally paid off.”

The boys now progress to the National Finals, which will take place at the Bolton Arena on Friday 10 March and Saturday 11 March.
