Crucial ISFA & ESFA Week
The School is looking forward to an exciting week of football as three Hampton teams compete in major national competitions. Both the Hampton 1st XI and the U15s have reached the last four in their respective Independent Schools Football Association (ISFA) Cup competitions.
Tuesday will see our U15s play Whitgift School in their Investec ISFA semi-final. The Hamptonians will be hoping to emulate the success of the 2011 and 2015 U15 teams who went all the way through the competition to win the ISFA trophy at Burton Albion’s Pirelli Stadium.
Hampton’s 1st XI are also looking forward to their Boodles ISFA semi-final game on Wednesday which will be against Royal Russell School, who beat Charterhouse School on penalties in the previous round. Hampton have a strong record in this competition (three-time winners and runners-up) but it is likely to be a tough encounter with both teams anxious to book a place in the final, being held at the Stadium MK, the home of Milton Keynes Dons.
The final major fixture of the week is the U14B’s English Schools Football Association Cup quarter-final match against Carshalton Boys Sports College. The young Hampton players are hoping to secure a semi-final place and are in fine form, having beaten Ivybridge Community College 8-3 in the previous round. This game will kick off at 2.00pm.
