U14 A Football Team match report against Whitgift U14 B team.

The match started off with some early possession from Whitgift. Hampton conceded a free kick on the edge of the area , which the Whitgift striker managed to place in the top right corner. Hampton replied straight away with a through ball from Declan Connolly (3C/ Captain) who passed it to Theo Radicopoulos (3C) and he calmly put it pass the keeper. The next goal came soon from a corner from Alasdair Bolling (3J) which got cleared and fell to Theo Radicopoulos (3C) who shot and found the bottom corner of the net. More chances came for Hampton but the Whitgift keeper was on top form and was saving all Hampton’s shots. Hampton finally got through the keeper with a pass from Theo Radicopoulos (3C) which went to Declan Connolly (3C/Captain) who created space for himself for a shot and placed into the bottom right corner. After half time Hampton only managed to break through the Whitgift defence once, a perfectly weighted pass from Theo Radicopoulos (3C) fell to Alasdair Bolling (3J) who managed to chip the keeper. After that Hampton kept possession well and saw good defensive performances from Shahryar Rezvani (3F), Maxi Grindley (3C), Robbie Cox (3D), and Nathan Chaplow (3C). James McMullin, James Ho (3C) and Milo Choundry showcased their talents after recently being moved up from the B team. U14 A Football Team Match Report against Ashcombe School

The match started off with some early possession from Hampton, soon Hampton got their first goal when Alasdair Bolling (3J) passed it through to Theo Radicopoulos (3C) who calmly placed into the net. After the goal, the game settled down and Ashcombe school started to cause Hampton some problems. The chances kept coming for Hampton but the Ashcombe goalkeeper denied us every time. Finally the goal came for Hampton where Declan Connolly (3C/Captain) played a ball to Sami Omaar (3F) who then found Oli Burke (3D) on the edge of the box and Oli smashed the ball into the top right corner of the net to make it 2-0 to Hampton. After half-time, Ashcombe came straight at Hampton, eager to score. However, the defence of Maxi Grindley (3C) , Robbie Cox (3D) , Nathan Chapplow (3A) and Shahryar Rezvani (3F) prevented them from scoring. Unfortunately, Ashcombe scored from a deflection which found the bottom corner of the net. Hampton replied by scoring 3 goals in the space of 5 minutes to see the game out. Two of the goals came from Theo Radicopoulos (3C) and one from a cross by Milo Choundry (3B) which Alasdair Bolling (3C/Captain)  met in the air. Overall it was a great 5-1 win for Hampton on a very windy day against good opposition and it was an especially good performance defensively.
