The Adventure Society took a group of Hampton boys and girls from LEH on a three week expedition to Hong Kong and Borneo. The journey began in Hong Kong with a boat trip around the harbour to see the city from afar. The group then visited Borneo and its capital, Kota Kinabalu, before travelling to Tampat do Aman, to build a wall for a local school, as well as learning survival skills including fire building and trap setting. The second week began with an ascent of Mount Kinabalu, the highest mountain in South-East Asia. It took two days to complete the climb, but despite the difficulty of the task, everyone made it up unscathed. There was also a visit to the Orang-utan Rehabilitation Centre and a reunion with Barry the Orang-utan, previously adopted by the 2012 expedition.

Survivor Island was the final destination for some rest and relaxation, as well as a visit to a mud bath. The trip offered a taste of Asian culture as well as a chance to experience local food, wildlife and to recuperate after the school year.
