Tennis is an increasingly popular and successful sport at Hampton School. It is played throughout the year with the summer term reserved for competition. The competitive season kicks off with pre-season training during the Easter holidays and team players also enjoy an annual trip to Mallorca to experience the joys of clay-court practice.

Hampton offers opportunities to players of all standards and many beginners gain their first experience of the sport at School. LTA accredited coaches help at our lunchtime squads and Sports sessions, alongside experienced members of staff.

During the summer term there are both midweek and weekend fixtures, giving all pupils the opportunity to represent the School in a wide variety of competitions including the Surrey Schools League, Independent Schools League, and the National Championships, as well as Interform Tennis and internal School ladders.

We readily support performance players who are playing in County, National and Junior ITF competitions. Prospective pupils playing tennis to a high standard are encouraged to apply for a Sports Scholarship.

Eight all-weather courts – three acrylic and five astro turf – are available on site.
