Photography Club runs on Thursdays at 1.15pm in the Art department. The aim of this club is to introduce the basic skills and camera work through a series of workshops and field practices. Boys are introduced to Photoshop and manipulation of digital photography, whilst also using the dark room and exposure to film photography. Once boys have completed the first year in the club they are given more freedom to pursue independent projects. The main aim of Photography Club is to show life through a lens, to explore different angles and to focus on composition without being too technically daunting.
Each year boys from the club enter the various competitions, including Young Photographer of the Year. More experienced boys also give their photography expertise to the Drama and performing arts departments, helping to shoot productions.
