Future Problem Solving

Future Problem Solving is run by Mrs Garrido-Soriano twice a week (Wed 1.15 and Fri 12.35) in room 14A. FPS is a structured model for problem solving, which leads onto a scenario based national competition.

Students learn lifelong skills in collaboration, presentation, conflict resolution and creative and critical thinking. Students research topics in depth on a weekly basis and explore their social, economic, technological and political implications in society. Students work in teams of four, which provides them with teamwork, collaborative and time management skills. FPS makes students think and analyse concepts critically and systematically, which allows them to become rich and sophisticated thinkers. Hampton School has won the national competition over the last two years and has been asked to represent the UK in the international competition in the USA.
