After a well-earned autumn rest the boys of the Third Year are back in School and firing on all cylinders. Several were on School trips over the holidays, whilst others went away with family and friends. Having settled back into life at Hampton, we’re looking forward to the term ahead.
News from around the forms:
Over half term… eight members of 3A visited Sorrento in Italy and did a lot of geography work looking at the formation of Vesuvius.
Kishan Boury (3A) visited Mallorca and spent a lovely two weeks in the warm waters of the Med.
Not one but two boys from 3B went on safari at half term, Amar Kotecha (3B) to Kenya, and Elliot Henton to Namibia.
In addition, Josh Van’t Hoff (3B) went on a cruise to the Caribbean, but was stuck in a tiny cabin whist his folks were in luxury… We’re all still envious of these fabulous trips, and have enjoyed hearing about them.
Callum Daniel (3A) visited Cyprus.
Jack Murphy (3A) spent half term in New York and had a good time.
Eashan Syal (3A) ate pizza five days in a row.
Jasper Lyon (3B) had his new braces fitted and is looking forward to a Hollywood smile in a few years from now. Apparently it wasn’t as bad as he thought.
Jonathan Steel (3A) climbed Mount Snowdon.
Back at School… members of 3G had to play instruments as part of their performance grade in music – keep it tuneful chaps!
Corey Hamilton Lane (3B) was the only member of 3B who was successful in his application for the Arts Award, due to the high standard of applicants. Whilst some boys are disappointed, we are all looking forward to hearing about what Corey creates, and wish him lots of luck.
Hampton’s U14 team reached the final of the Richmond Schools’ Basketball Tournament.
Yousuf Awan (3B) has turned over a new leaf and started the term with some super enthusiasm.
Patrick Wall and Jack Lucas (3A) are taking part in the first rehearsals for Tin Pan Ali.
And finally, the U14 rugby teams are training hard in preparation for matches against Wellington College on Saturday. Good luck lads!
