The match started off with some early possession from Whitgift. Hampton conceded a free kick on the edge of the area , which the Whitgift striker managed to place in the top right corner. Hampton replied straight away with a through ball from Declan Connolly (3C/ Captain) who passed it to Theo Radicopoulos (3C) and he calmly put it pass the keeper. The next goal came soon from a corner from Alasdair Bolling (3J) which got cleared and fell to Theo Radicopoulos (3C) who shot and found the bottom corner of the net. More chances came for Hampton but the Whitgift keeper was on top form and was saving all Hampton’s shots. Hampton finally got through the keeper with a pass from Theo Radicopoulos (3C) which went to Declan Connolly (3C/Captain) who created space for himself for a shot and placed into the bottom right corner. After half time Hampton only managed to break through the Whitgift defence once, a perfectly weighted pass from Theo Radicopoulos (3C) fell to Alasdair Bolling (3J) who managed to chip the keeper. After that Hampton kept possession well and saw good defensive performances from Shahryar Rezvani (3F), Maxi Grindley (3C), Robbie Cox (3D), and Nathan Chaplow (3C). James McMullin, James Ho (3C) and Milo Choundry showcased their talents after recently being moved up from the B team.
