First Year boys headed down to the New Forest at the start of the Autumn Term for two days of fun and team building. The destination was the  Avon Tyrrell Outdoor Activity Centre where boys got the chanceweb1 to bond with their new classmates and their teachers, outside the School environment.

There were lots of activities on offer including:  high ropes, a blind trail and raft building. The raft building challenge also led to an impromptu test of some of the boys’ swimming abilities. The trip encouraged them to work together, while enjoying themselves and Head of Year, Mrs Peattie said the trip was a valuable experience for the boys:

The boys came back a much closer group, not only do they now know each other much better, but they are also able to recognise each other’s strengths.
